MOJACAR PLAYA

Spain

Welcome to Mojacar Playa

Mojacar Playa is a small beach town with a laid back atmosphere. Its 17 km of gorgeous coastline set below the Sierra Cabrera Mountains has some of the best beaches in Almeria. The urban center is clustered along 8km of waterfront that is full of beach resorts, shops, restaurants and nightlife.

Bus service is available all along the coastal road and makes for easy access to most beaches. South of the urban center is a stretch of undeveloped natural beaches that lead into the Cabo de Gata Nature Park. These unadulterated beaches are popular for nudism and are arguable southern Spain’s most beautiful.

Beaches in the Urban Center

If you want to be close to all of the amenities, then the urban center of Mojacar Playa is the place to be. There are several great beaches to choose from such as Playa de las Ventanicas and Playa del Lance Nuevo.

All of the beaches offer the following facilities and amenities: parking, lifeguard, showers, sun beds, parasol and kayak hire, chiringuito beach bars.

From Easter to October these beaches are very popular. However, compared to other resort towns on the Spanish coast, Mojacar Playa does not feel overcrowded. Although there are a lot of hotels to choose from, thankfully there are no high-rise buildings.
