ICON MALABAR

The 4 star ICON Malabar is a new modern hotel that opened its doors in 2021. It is located in the Soho neighborhood, just 3 min walk away from the Atarazanas market and very close also to the emblematic Larios Street.

The hotel occupies a beautifully restored historic building. The interior décor features modern design with Scandinavian influences in white and pastel colors. Although the rooms are a little on the small side, they are stylish, comfy and welcoming at the same time. And for the price, it’s very difficult to beat the ICON Malabar.

There is also a bar on site. Although there isn’t parking at this hotel, guest get a discounted rate at a public parking nearby. Expect to pay around 16€/day.

PETIT PALACE PLAZA MALAGA

The 4-star Petit Palace Plaza Malaga is conveniently located on a pedestrian area at the heart of the city’s historic quarter. Both the popular Larios Street and Malaga’s cathedral are just steps away.

This modern design hotel is housed in a 20th century palatial building with a traditional Andalusian patio. The rooms feature minimalist design with wooden floors and furniture. It’s quiet, cool and cosy. Some room even have views to the cathedral.

The Petit Palace Plaza Malaga offers reduced rates at several nearby public parkings. Expect to pay around 23 €/day.

Although it might not be the most luxurious or have the most amenities, the Petit Palace Plaza Málaga offers great value for the money. For that reason, we consider it one of the best hotels in Malaga.

GRAN HOTEL MIRAMAR

If you want to splurge, look no further than the Miramar Palace Hotel. This luxurious 5 star hotel is nothing short of spectacular. It opened in 1926 and was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII. Today, it still looks like a resort for royalty.

The hotel occupies an impressive palatial building right in front of Malaga’s most popular beach, Playa de la Malagueta. The rooms are elegantly designed with traditional décor that has a Moorish flare. Inside, you will find all of the amenities you could dream of.

Apart from the spa and seasonal pool, guests also love the rooftop chill-out terrace with a bar and stunning sea views.

The hotel's Príncipe de Asturias restaurant serves international dishes with a Mediterranean touch. There is also a more informal café bar on the premises.

The on site private parking costs 29 €/day.

AC HOTEL MALAGA PALACIO

The 4-star hotel AC Malaga Palacio occupies a modern 15 story building in Malaga’s center. It features a superb location half way between the cathedral and the oceanfront, just steps away from both.

Due to its unbeatable location, the hotel’s rooftop terrace offers astonishing views of both the city of Malaga and the coastline. Moreover, there is also a bar and a large swimming pool on the terrace which probably are the best rooftop bar and pool in the entire city.

The rooms are spacious and feature elegant contemporary décor. A lot of the rooms also have wonderful ocean views.

Although there isn’t parking at this hotel, there is a public parking nearby. Expect to pay around 25 €/day.

VINCCI SELECCIÓN POSADA DEL PATIO

If you are looking for an uber fashionable boutique hotel at a reasonable price, then the Vincci Selección Posada del Patio might be the perfect place for you.

This stylish 5-star hotel occupies a beautifully renovated historic building along the Guadalmedina river in Malaga’s historic quarter. Despite its location being super central, it is also very quiet.

The Vincci Selección Posada del Patio features a great rooftop swimming pool. The rooms are modern and spacious. And the superior rooms even have balconies.

During the renovation works at this hotel, part of the city’s Arab walls were discovered under the building. Today they can be visited by the guests.

There is a restaurant on site serving contemporary Mediterranean cuisine as well as a bar. The on site private parking costs 28 €/day.

MOLINA LARIO

The 4-star hotel Molina Lario occupies a restored 19th century building in Malaga’s old town, right next to the AC Hotel Malaga Palacio and just steps away from the cathedral.

The original 19th century facade of the Molina Lario contrasts with its stylish modern interior. The rooms are cozy and spacious, and feature comfortable beds.

Guests can enjoy the rooftop swimming pool and terrace, which features marvelous views of Malaga’s cathedral. There is a restaurant on site as well as a bar on the rooftop terrace.

The hotel’s private parking costs 23 €/day.

SOHO BOUTIQUE COLÓN

As its name indicates, the 4 star hotel Soho Boutique Colón is located in Malaga’s Soho neighborhood, just 3 min walk away from the Atarazanas market and 10 min from the train station.

The rooms feature stylish modern design with beautiful wooden floors. Guests love the large comfortable beds and the great selection of pillows to choose from. Most rooms also have a small balcony.

While this hotels doesn’t have its own parking, it does offer a discount to guests in the nearby public parking. Expect to pay around 17 €/day.

The Soho Boutique Colón boasts a great quality/price ratio and is one of the best hotels in Malaga.

ONLY YOU HOTEL MALAGA

The 5-star Only YOU Hotel Málaga occupies a modernist building in Malaga’s Soho neighborhood located right in front of the port and very close to the popular Larios Street.

It opened its doors in October 2021 and since then, has become a favorite of many. Its interior has been designed in art decó style with Mediterranean influences, very fresh and urban.

Each space at Only YOU Hotel Málaga has its own personality. The cement walls of the bathrooms, for example, contrast with the warmth of the rooms, which feature wooden floors and accents.

Guests can enjoy the rooftop terrace where they will find a small swimming pool and the Lolita bar. There is another bar on the ground floor called Carmen. On the 8th floor guests can enjoy the restaurant Lola which offers seasonal cuisine.

Note that there is no parking at this hotel.

SALLES HOTEL MÁLAGA CENTRO

The 4-star Salles Hotel Málaga Centro is centrally situated but at the same time it’s very quiet. It’s just west of the Guadalmedina river and only 5 min walk away from the old town.

Guests can enjoy fantastic views of Malaga from the hotel’s great rooftop, where they will also find a bar and a swimming pool.

The rooms are contemporary, bright and spacious. Many even have a balcony.

The café-bar Picasso is open for drinks, while the restaurant Guernica specializes in Mediterranean and Andalusian dishes.

This hotel has parking and offers a great price of only 13 €/day.

The Salles Hotel Málaga Centro offers great value for the money. If you want to stay at a hotel with a pool in Malaga’s center, this is probably one of the most affordable options.

PALACIO SOLECIO

The 4-star hotel Palacio Solecio is without a doubt one of the most special and charming accommodations in all of Malaga.

It occupies a tastefully restored 17th century palace in a pedestrian street at the heart of Malaga’s historic center. The Picasso Museum is just around the corner, while both the Alcazaba and the cathedral are also super close.

The spacious rooms at Palacio Solecio are spread around a gorgeous inner courtyard. They feature elegant décor and beautiful wooden floors. Great attention has been put to all the details at this accommodation.

The rooftop bar is the perfect spot to relax and have a drink while enjoying the city views after a long day of sightseeing. There is also a restaurant on site.

Note that this accommodation is located on a pedestrian street and therefore it can’t be accessed by car. Although there isn’t a parking at the hotel, there are several public parkings in the area.
