Cartagena has a population of just over 200,000, but it sure doesn’t feel like it. The old town and port area, which is where most visitors will spend their time, is quite small. Walking from one end to the other should take about 15 minutes.
For this reason, we recommend to stay anywhere south of Paseo de Alfonso XIII. The NH Cartagena Hotel has the best overall location, followed by the B&B Hotel. Several touristic apartments also have great locations such as the Apartamentos turísticos Puerta Real and the San Sebastián Suites.
