It’s true, you can get a general admission ticket to the Mezquita for 18.50€. But there’s so much history in the Great Mosque of Cordoba and so much to see that it really makes sense to spend a little extra and join a guided tour.
For as little as 29€ you can have a local art historian guide lead you through the entire complex. They will explain in detail about the architecture, the building’s history and even answer any questions you have. The guides really bring the whole experience to life and point out many important details that you might otherwise miss. We can’t recommend booking a guided tour enough.
